10th
annual Steve Stricker Golf Exhibition

Last year, Stricker, the 2006
and 2007 PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year, was joined by
fellow PGA golfer Jerry Kelly to play with event sponsor representatives
(pictured

golfer; Steve Stricker; Jerry Kelly; Tom Domaszek, representing Cherokee
Country Club; and Scott Kowalski,
WPS golfer).
Wisconsin
golf fans had the unique opportunity to join the gallery watching
the pros play (above; at left, Stricker looks on as VSA participant

other
players for a luncheon, which included a Q&A with the golfers,
a presentation by VSA Art Center participants and a silent auction.

A representative from the national VSA office came
from Washington D.C. to attend the 2007 event to present Stricker with
the 2007 VSA
arts National
Award for Excellence in Leadership for his efforts on behalf of
VSA. The award goes to an individual who has made an exemplary contribution
or who has been an outstanding champion for VSA. Stricker was chosen
from a distinguished group of nominees from around the country who
contribute to the work of VSA arts affiliates.
In the first 10 years of the VSA Stricker Golf Exhibition, more than
$425,000 has been raised to support the VSA Art Center. |

Wos (left) presented Stricker and Kelly with some original glass artwork
at the 2007 luncheon. |
"Steve is a ‘home grown’ professional golfer who became involved
with VSA 10 years ago, just as his career began to draw national attention," says VSA arts of Wisconsin president
Kathie Wagner. "Steve’s dedication
continues to touch the lives of individuals with disabilities and it is
clear that this event has great meaning for him. He is a champion!"
